The Supermicro X9SCM-F is a legacy motherboard, able to work as a workstation, home lab, or server board. This Micro ATX motherboard supports a single Intel Xeon E3-1200 v1 and v2 series, 2nd and 3rd Gen Core i3, Pentium, and Celeron processors in the LGA 1155 socket. Its 4 DIMM slots allow for up to 32GB DDR3 Unbuffered ECC, ranging from 1066MHz to 1600MHz. The X9SCM series boards offer a slightly better chipset than its cousin boards in the X9SCL series, using an Intel C204 Express chipset, rather than the X9SCL’s C202 Express, allowing for more connections.

The X9SCM-F supports 2 SATAIII drives and 4 SATAII drives, so if you’ve got the drives for it, you’ll be prepared to store loads of data. This retro-cool motherboard includes PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports, though it also has a total of 9 USB ports, so you can still use your USB mouse and keyboard.
